Our new pleated abaya will make you feel like twirling. In a rich burgundy, it’s pleated throughout in soft flowy fabric. Complete the look with our black or beige layering dress or rock it alone. Pairs with Berry Mosaic Sarah 5’4 M/L Standard (was wearing 2 inch heels) Mariam S/M 5’7 Tall (was wearing 2 inch kitten heels) Wafaa 5’1 S/M Short (was wearing 1 inch platforms). VELAs are uniquely crafted in batches, variations are expected.

Hand wash separately in cold water. Dry cleaning is always recommended. See care label for further instructions.

Return Nightmare

If you choose to buy any of their clothing, just know they won’t return it if you choose to do so. They’ll make up some excuse that it smells funny and won’t refund you even though the item was returned as sent. The abaya itself was also too formal to wear with jeans but not dressy enough to wear with anything else. Also wasn’t the right size for me. I love Vela but I’ll stick to strictly buying hijabs since I know for certain I won’t return those. Disappointed.

Double check size before ordering

Refund process is a joke! It’s been 55 days and I’ve only now gotten someone to finally take me seriously after having sent dozens of emails. Product itself is nice but a bit over priced, I recommend only buying during a sale.

This is so flowy! When you walk, it just bounces and flows so nicely. The colour is rich and sophisticated. The fabric is beautiful and comfortable. Too good! Need it in black !!!!

Hate the sleeves

The sleeves are huge and unflattering. Wouldn’t recommend. I miss the sleeves on the first pleated abaya.

Too heavy

Abaya is pretty but so heavy I felt like I was wearing weights.
