At VELA, we work closely with our manufacturing partners to ensure responsible and respectful production practices. We maintain direct, ongoing relationships with our primary factory and regularly visit in person to stay closely connected to how our products are made.

We partner with manufacturers who align with our standards for fair wages and safe, respectful working environments. Through long-term relationships and on-site oversight, we prioritize:

Our primary manufacturing partner is a woman-owned facility with a workforce made up of over 60% women. Supporting female employment and inclusive opportunities is an important part of who we choose to work with.

We are mindful of waste and work with our partners to reduce excess materials wherever possible. Leftover fabrics and materials are repurposed or recycled through third-party channels when feasible.

We believe in being thoughtful and intentional about how our products are made. Our approach is rooted in close partnerships, ongoing oversight, and a commitment to doing things the right way as we continue to grow.
