Our signature modal fabric is made from a natural, plant-based fiber (a refined form of viscose), chosen for its softness, breathability, and drape. Sustainably sourced, and ethically created.

The Vela Sunbeam hijab has a warm, radiant yellow tone and is made from Vela’s signature modal fabric, making it lightweight, breathable, and perfect for bright, summery outfits. It drapes softly and feels comfortable to wear throughout the day, adding a cheerful pop of colour to your wardrobe. However, like many Vela modal hijabs, it is somewhat semi-transparent and thin, which may not suit everyone’s preference for coverage. Some buyers of Vela scarves have also mentioned occasional quality inconsistencies with modal fabrics, such as loose threads or delicate feel, so it’s worth checking yours when it arrives.
