Crafted by Artisans in Aleppo, each Habari begins with hand made color blocks that were lovingly carved by artisans to create this print on 100% luxurious Habari silk. Using a lime resist technique, the intricate design is printed in traditional Aleppian colors that embodies bold and timeless colorway. Traditionally worn by Kurdish women in Syria, this style reflects a heritage of beauty and resilience. Classic black with subtle pops of navy and red makes this one of a kind hijab one you can dress up or down.
Habari Silk faces declining production due to the country's struggle. VELA honors this heritage with our unique representation, celebrating Syria’s rich cultural heritage of ancient textiles and paying homage to this timeless fabric. By purchasing you’re helping us preserve and revive a disappearing art form.
Each of these scarves features a custom print, and minor imperfections are a normal aspect of each piece, adding to its uniqueness. Please handle the delicate fabric with care and hand wash only.

I love this scary! The colors are so vibrant and beautiful. The fabric is delicate and soft, it feels nice. The pattern is very unique and goes well with my wardrobe. ❤️

So I love the colors but this scarf is really hard to work with . It’s very thin and doesn’t stay flat around my head . The size makes it tricky to wrap any way . I wanted to support Syria , but I will stick to modal .

I bought this scarf to support Syrian heritage, but I’m very sorry to say that the quality is seriously concerning. When I hand-rinsed it, the dye bled into the water and a strong chemical smell was released. Unfortunately, it doesn’t feel worth the price.

Really low quality hijab… for $65 I was expecting a lot better from Vela. The quality is 10x worse than their modal, a lot thinner, smaller, and loose threads along all the seam edges. Looks like it came off of Aliexpress. Definitely gonna return this or ask for a refund.
