Positivity for Muslim Women: 5 Daily Affirmations Every Muslim Woman Needs

Positivity for Muslim Women: 5 Daily Affirmations Every Muslim Woman Needs

Salaam VELA fam! With the busyness of daily life, it's important to recognize the countless roles women take on — from early mornings preparing for the day, to caring for loved ones, managing households, and everything in between. Life can be beautiful, but it can also be overwhelming at times. That’s why it's so important to pause, reflect, and practice a few self-affirmations to stay grounded and uplifted. This blog post will highlight 5 daily self-affirmations every woman can live by.

  1. I am capable of achieving my goals.

The best way to start your day is to have the motivation that you can accomplish your goals. Islam also teaches us to have an optimistic mindset and be positive, so this is an important affirmation to live by.

  1. I am worthy of love and respect.

Self-love is one of the most commonly overlooked aspects especially for women. We are taught to care for others like our parents, spouses, kids etc. but oftentimes we forget to take time out to value love for yourself. It is important to feel loved and valued especially when women take on many roles as a mother, wife, daughter, homemaker, etc.

  1. I have the power to love myself stronger than anyone else can love me.

When relationships go through ups and downs, it affects women greatly primarily because we seek out an emotional bond along with love and affection. Women should always remember that they should love themselves and take time out to heal and be loved, even if others are not showing as much love to them.

  1. I control my emotions, not the other way around.

When times are tough, emotions can get the best of us. Women in most cultures are taught to guard their emotions and not be hysterical, but it is ok and healthy to let your emotions out. At the same time, depending on the circumstance, it is important to have a strong will power to control your emotions because letting your emotions control you can lead to consequences as well.

  1. I am embracing my fears to push for a better future.

This is one of the most challenging affirmations for women to practice because it isn’t easy to accept one’s fears, let alone take risks. Taking risks may seem scary and not a preferred decision at the moment, but if you think about it, taking risks is what helps you have a successful life. Fears are only temporary and once you are able to get over them, you have matured as an individual and are closer to achieving your goals. Taking risks will help you go through personal growth and courage to be able to go after your dreams and ambitions.
