One Hijab, Two Moods: Why Ombre Works for Day-to-Night Styling

One Hijab, Two Moods: Why Ombre Works for Day-to-Night Styling

Salaam VELA fam! As you all know, VELA has released its Ombre Capsule featuring some of the most beautiful shades with their light and dark counterparts. Just like how Ombre hairstyles have been the rave, it’s time that ombre made its way to the hijab industry. This blog post will focus on tips on styling Ombre hijabs. Purchase them here

Ombre Styling Tips

  1. Make Your Fit Pop

One of the best features about these hijabs from the Ombre Capsule are that they are dual toned and can easily be worn at different times of the day- for both mornings and evenings! In the daytime, you can add a subtle or soft touch of color to your outfit and in the evening, you can make your outfit pop by flipping your hijab to highlight the deeper and bold colors!

  1. Get it Twisted

Another styling tip is to twist the ends of your hijab when you wear it. This may seem unusual, but this is actually one of my favorite tips when it comes to styling ombres! By twisting the hijab either one end or both, and draping it over your shoulder, you are seamlessly showcasing the color gradient providing a polished look to your outfit!

  1. Over the Shoulder

This is one of the most basic and least time consuming hijab styles for you Ombre hijabs. The first tip is to ensure that you have steamed/straightened your hijab so that the color gradient isn’t overshadowed by the wrinkles on your modal. The second tip is draping the hijab, positioning the color gradient you prefer over your head, and simply draping the remaining portion of the hijab over your shoulder so that you can display all of the shades.
