Salaam VELA fam! As you all know, Ramadan is coming to an end and as we prepare for the last few nights, I am sure that we are all excited to deck out our Eid fits! As we begin to finalize our Eid outfits, we all understand the importance of modesty and this is something that we must apply to our everyday apparel as well- not just Eid. Styling Tips

1. Don’t be afraid to play with patterns and textures!

I love VELA’s printed modals and honestly they truly elevate all of my outfits. But for some people, it’s difficult to pair a printed modal with an outfit that has stripes or ruffles for example. The key here is to understand color coordination and choosing a print that isn’t too ‘’loud’’ or distracting from the rest of the outift because you want both the hijab and the fit to flow effortlessly.

2. Finding the right size

One of the challenges that I face along with other women is adjusting to modest fashion. Modest fashion doesn’t necessarily mean you have to look ‘’boxy’’ or ‘’oversized.’’ It’s important to find the right size for you but also being mindful of modesty especially when it comes to the necklines and waists for certain outfits!

3. Prioritize Comfort

There are certain outfits and styles that look amazing on some people but when you try to wear it, it doesn’t feel as exciting or comfortable for you.
