Being in your 20s is full of beauty and youthful curiosity. For every Muslim woman navigating this decade, we must embrace it and prepare ourselves for what's to come. Time is slow and fast at the same time, so don't take it for granted. These years are for discovering who you are, not what others want you to be. This is the time to trust in Allah (SWT), and trust deeply in His qadr. So don't rush marriage, chase worldly desires, and assume you must have it all figured out. Instead, pour your time and energy into your Creator and choose your companions with intentions while building habits that serve your deen. Let this decade be less about pressure and more about presence grounded in faith. So let's go over a list of 20 something wisdoms to live by as you explore this decade. 

  1. You don't need it all figured out: Your 20s are for discovering who you are and what you want. 

  2. Prioritize your Salah and trust in Allah: Everything will fall into place when you place your ultimate trust in Allah for all your endeavors. 

  3. Your worth is not in your looks: Your taqwa, your character, and your sincerity is how your beauty shows. 

  4. Stop rushing marriage: Focus on who you are and what you want before jumping into a marriage with someone. 

  5. Protect your softness: Your energy is beautiful and must be protected from hasad and people who dont always want the best for you.

  6. Choose friends wisely: Friends that keep you accountable and help your akhirah are the best type of friends to have. Don't fall for friends that feed into your worldly desires. 

  7. It's ok to change your path: As humans, we are always evolving. Don't restrain yourself to anything or else you'll never grow. 

  8. Learn to love your own company: Solitude allows reflection and growth. 

  9. Build healthy habits: Duas, Sadaqah, tahajjud. Make it sincere. 

  10. Heal: Heal yourself from within before starting a marriage and raising a family to be the best version of yourself for those you love. 

  11. Your timeline is not a race: The Qadr of Allah is never late.

  12. Start taking care of your health: Health matters – Spiritually, emotionally, and physically. 

  13. Say Bismillah and start: Don't wait for the “right” moment or else you'll never be ready. 

  14. Stop comparing yourself: Social media is not reality, it is a snapshot. Comparison is a thief of joy. 

  15. Continuously ask Allah for guidance: Make dua.

  16. Create a dua list: Update this weekly or monthly. 

  17. Learn basic fiqh: Online or in person, always try to learn something new to gain clarity. 

  18. Take breaks from scrolling: Social media is a thief of time. Replace it with nature, walks, reading, and anything to slow down time. 

  19. Take frequent walks: walk with family and friends and make it a goal to be outdoors more often.

  20. Keep Allah in mind: Before any decision or actions, ask yourself if this will please Allah. 

  21. Fast on Mondays/Thursdays: This will teach you discipline and bring barakah in your life. 

  22. Spend time with your parents: As we get older, they get older too. Offer to help them around the house and learn about them with questions. Don't take them for granted. 

  23. Learn to say “No” when needed: Not everything requires your energy, attention or explanation. Say no kindly. 

  24. Don't let one bad habit define you: Change is quiet and consistent, so don't beat yourself up for past mistakes.
