Join VELA and Asiyah Women’s Center for a purposeful Ramadan

In the spirit of Ramadan, VELA and Asiyah Women’s Center have come together with a shared commitment to making a positive impact on two crucial fronts: supporting the people of Gaza and standing against domestic violence around the world. 

As we are all well aware, the situation in Gaza has posed significant challenges and the need for support remains ongoing. Moreover, the devastating consequences of the current genocide have resulted in the loss of over 30,000 lives, with 70,000 individuals injured and 1.9 million people displaced. Additionally, a staggering 2.3 million individuals are currently facing starvation. And the absence of adequate medical resources has further exacerbated the situation, leading to a distressing 300% increase in miscarriages among pregnant women and girls in Gaza, who lack access to safe delivery options.

Undoubtedly, this has become a pressing issue that demands the attention and concern of all. To address this dire situation, VELA and Asiyah Women’s Center have come together and partnered with Launch Good to launch a Ramadan campaign. Through this collective effort, we aim to support a wide range of humanitarian relief initiatives in both Gaza and the United States. 

How does this work? 

VELA and Asiyah Women’s Center have set a target of raising $4 million for charity during the holy month of Ramadan. This ambitious goal can be achieved by rallying 20,000 people on launchgood. To be eligible to join our team, individuals must use our exclusive launchgood link (launchgood.com/team4gaza) and commit to donating a minimum of $3 per day throughout Ramadan. By coming together and supporting this cause, we can make a significant impact on those in need.

Where does your charity go? 

1. Once you’re logged into Launchgood, you can pick specific humanitarian support in Gaza campaigns that you'd like to donate to. However, if you choose not to do so, your daily donations will continue to be allocated towards a diverse array of global relief endeavors and causes, thereby supporting projects that uplift orphans, medical initiatives, the elderly, and those suffering from hunger.
2. When you register for launchgood.com/team4gaza, Launchgood will match up to $100 of your automated minimum $3/day donation to Asiyah. This means that your donation to Gaza will also help domestic violence survivors and victims of homelessness.
